1.Reb Moshe Schick, the Maharam Schick, is buried in the Jewish cemetery of Khust, the town where he served as rav from 1861 until his passing in 1879 and where his yeshiva drew hundreds of talmidim.
2.Khust sits in Zakarpattia, in Ukraine's far west, and the kever is a regular stop for groups travelling the Carpathian kevarim.
3.One name to keep straight: this is the Maharam Schick, the talmid of the Chasam Sofer. He is not R' Eliezer Shlomo Schick, the Breslover Mohorosh who passed in 2015 and is buried in Yavne'el, and not R' Dovid Yosef Schick. All three surface together in searches.
4.IT IS THE OLD GROUND, AND THAT IS NOW SETTLED. This page used to give both of Khust's cemeteries and refuse to choose between them. The Center for Jewish Art photographed the ohel in 2019 and places it in the old Jewish cemetery, on the hill on Ostrovskoho Street opposite number 116, at 48.183231, 23.307922 — within thirty metres of the point the ESJF survey gives for that same old ground. The newer cemetery, about 1.7 kilometres south, is not the one to go to.
5.HE IS NOT ALONE IN THE OHEL. Reb Yoel Tzvi Roth, the Beis HaYotzer, who followed him as rov of Khust and headed the yeshiva after him, lies in it with him. Most people who come here for the Maharam Schick do not know that.
6.THE MAP POINT IS THE OHEL, not the town and not the gate — but the cemetery is on a hillside with more than fifteen hundred matzevos on it, so give yourself the walk up.

Born about 1819. A talmid of the Maharam Ash and close to the Divrei Chaim of Sanz, he followed the Maharam Schick as rov of Khust and led its yeshiva. His teshuvos and drashos were printed by his grandson as Beis HaYotzer. Sources give the year of his petirah as both 1891 and 1892, and this listing does not pick between them.

Born 1807 in Brezova; a leading talmid of the Chasam Sofer in Pressburg and one of the foremost Hungarian poskim of his generation, he served as rav of Khust from 1861 until his death — not to be confused with the later Breslover R' Eliezer Shlomo Schick, who is buried in Yavne'el.
