1.ASK FOR DZYARZHYNSK, NOT KOIDANOVO. The town was renamed in 1932 and no navigation app knows the old name. It is about thirty-seven kilometres south-west of Minsk, and Koidanovo is what the chassidus is called rather than what the place is called.
2.Reb Shlomo Chaim Perlow, 1797–1862, became the first Koidanover Rebbe in 1833. The line runs back through Lechovitch to Karlin, which is why the Koidanov, Kobrin and Slonim courts are cousins rather than strangers.
3.THE CEMETERY IS ALSO A MASSACRE SITE. About eighteen hundred of the town's Jews were murdered here on the twenty-first of October 1941, and the following March the Germans brought several thousand more Jews from across Belarus to Koidanov and killed them. Behave on the ground accordingly.
4.THE RECORD IS ALMOST EMPTY AND THAT IS THE RECORD. No source found gives this cemetery a street, a gate, a keyholder, a count of matzevos or any word on whether an ohel stands. Belarus is the least documented country on this site. Ask before travelling rather than expecting to find the kever yourself, and check current entry requirements.
