1.Resting place of Rabbi Yissachar Ber of Radoshitz, the 'Saba Kadisha,' famed as a wonder-worker and healer.
2.IT IS IN THE FOREST, NOT IN THE VILLAGE. About two kilometres out, on the left of the road toward Grodzisko, on the crown of a hill. You turn straight off the public road; the boundary is a broken masonry wall with no gate at all, so there is nothing to open and nobody to ask.
3.THE OHEL OF THE TZADDIKIM WAS REBUILT IN 1984, by Victor Kleinmuza. It is what you have come for, because almost nothing else is left: between one and twenty matzevos still stand, nineteenth and twentieth century, cut in limestone and sandstone with Hebrew and Yiddish on them. The ground was opened around 1615 and took its last burial in 1942.
4.NOBODY LOOKS AFTER IT. The Germans destroyed the cemetery and the damage went on after the liberation; the survey records that it receives no care, and weather and undergrowth work on it steadily.
5.The road it stands on runs to GRODZISKO, a village nearby. Do not confuse that with Grodzisk Mazowiecki, which is a hundred and fifty kilometres north and has its own Jewish cemetery and its own ohel on this site.
6.Reb Chaim Uszer Finkler, the last tzaddik of Radoszyce, is not here. He was murdered in the Lodz ghetto.
7.SURVEYED COORDINATES. The map point on this listing is the cemetery itself, measured on the ground by the ESJF survey — not a town centre. Where a kever is inside an ohel it will still need finding once you are through the gate, but the gate is now something you can navigate to.
