1.The town of Reb Yaakov Aryeh Guterman, founder of the Radzymin chassidus and a talmid of the Chidushei HaRim. He led here; he is not buried here.
2.REB YAAKOV ARYEH IS BURIED IN WARSAW, AND THIS PAGE USED TO SAY RADZYMIN. He founded the Radzymin chassidus and the town carries his name, but he was niftar on the third of July 1874 and lies in the Warsaw Jewish cemetery, where his ohel stands. Warsaw is about twenty-two kilometres south-west.
3.THE OHEL AT RADZYMIN IS HIS SON'S. It stands restored in the middle of the ground and holds Reb Shlomo Yehoshua Dovid of Radzymin. Somebody who comes here for the father has come to the son — which is a journey worth making, but not the one they thought they were making.
4.THE CEMETERY WAS TURNED INTO A PARK. It is on ulica Mickiewicza, something over two hectares, in use from the seventeen-hundreds. After the war it was levelled and planted with poplars, maples and limes. The old entrance was on the east side and the main path ran east to west.
5.SURVEYED COORDINATES. The map point on this listing is the cemetery itself, measured on the ground by the ESJF survey — not a town centre. Where a kever is inside an ohel it will still need finding once you are through the gate, but the gate is now something you can navigate to.
