Exact coordinates

1.The exact graves here are lost. This cemetery, in use from 1687 until 1853, was destroyed by the Germans, and after the war the ground was put to use as a warehouse and materials and coal yard. The ohel you will find is a post-war reconstruction with commemorative plaques, so the original grave positions are not preserved.
2.It stands just inside the gates — a small white concrete building under a large overhanging roof. It is the ohel of the tzaddikim Reb Elimelech of Rudnik and Reb Eliezer of Reisha (Rzeszów).
3.Two warnings on the names. The Elimelech here is NOT Reb Elimelech of Lizhensk — searches conflate them constantly, and the Noam Elimelech is buried in Leżajsk, about 30 km away. And the Rudnik here is Rudnik nad Sanem; the better-known rabbinic name from that town, Reb Tzvi Hirsh Halberstam, is a different man buried in Gorlice.
4.The site is on ul. Kochanowskiego, near the rynek. Confirm the exact location of the ohel and how to get in locally before you set out.
5.SURVEYED COORDINATES. The map point on this listing is the cemetery itself, measured on the ground by the ESJF survey — not a town centre. Where a kever is inside an ohel it will still need finding once you are through the gate, but the gate is now something you can navigate to.

A tzaddik of his generation, commemorated in the rebuilt ohel just inside the cemetery gates. He is not Reb Elimelech of Lizhensk, the Noam Elimelech, who lies in Leżajsk, and 'Rudnik' here means Rudnik nad Sanem and not the Halberstam rav of that town.
