1.The Imrei Noam, Reb Meir Horowitz of Dzikov, a leading Galician rebbe of the Ropshitz line. His ohel stands on the newer of the town's two grounds.
2.FOUR MATZEVOS AND ONE OHEL. That is everything left of Jewish Dzikow. The ohel is on the newer ground, on ulica Sienkiewicza by the marketplace near what is now the Kaufland, and it was rebuilt in the nineteen-sixties over four tzaddikim — Reb Elazar Horowitz, Reb Meir of Dzikov, Reb Yehoshua of Dzikov and Reb Yechiel son of Reb Meir.
3.THE KEYHOLDER IS A CATHOLIC AND HIS FAMILY EARNED THE TRUST. Mieczyslaw Zdyrski, at ulica Sienkiewicza 89, keeps the cemetery; his father protected it during the war by burying the rov's matzevah in his own garden. There is a fence and the gate locks, so knock at 89.
4.The fence is covered in anti-Semitic slogans and cartoons. The ground inside it is looked after all the same.
5.THE OLD CEMETERY IS GONE COMPLETELY. It was at the corner of Sienkiewicza and Sawickiej and an exhibition hall stands on it now. Do not go looking there. The newer ground was itself cut down in 1931, from about one and a fifth hectares to less than one, when part was built over and some graves were moved.
