1.Resting place of Rabbi Yitzchak Friedman, the first Boyaner Rebbe, a grandson of the Ruzhiner, in the Jewish section of Vienna's Central Cemetery.
2.THERE ARE TWO JEWISH SECTIONS AND THEY ARE AT DIFFERENT GATES. The old one is at Tor 1, opened in 1879, with some eighty thousand kevorim in it. The new one is at Tor 4. Arriving at the wrong gate means a long walk in a cemetery of nearly two and a half square kilometres.
3.WHICH GATE FOR THE BOYANER REBBE IS NOT SETTLED HERE. He was niftar on the eleventh of March 1917. The new cemetery at Tor 4 is recorded as opening on the fourth of April 1917 — three weeks later — but the same sources also say burials had been moving there from 1916 because Tor 1 was full. That points to Tor 1 without proving it. Ask at the gate office rather than trusting either date.
4.The Ruzhiner's descendants are scattered across several countries and several cemeteries. If you are looking for a particular one of them, confirm the man before the gate.
