The Stefaneshter Rebbe
Who he was
A grandson of Rabbi Yisrael of Ruzhin, he led the Shtefaneshter chassidus for some seventy years and was the most followed rebbe in Romania. He was buried in Ștefănești and reinterred at Nachlas Yitzchok in Givatayim in 5729, where his kever is visited. Sources give his yahrzeit as both 21 Tammuz and 10 Sivan.
